1. Babylights
We’re loving the influx of 90s everything (maybe even crimped hair), and babylights - baby highlights - are back, along with grunge-wear and chokers. Babylights are those subtle, thin highlights that help define your hair without having in-your-face stripes of color. See an example of them here.
2. Dark Roots
Nope, dark roots aren’t out of style yet. This is good news for dyed blondes who are more than happy to give their hair a break for the colder months. Let your roots grow in a bit - darker roots look especially on-trend next to light hair. If you’ve had colored hair for a while and it needs some TLC, check out Paul Mitchell’s line of Ultimate Color Repair products. (Psst: Debra M Salon in Poughkeepsie sells PM products!)
3. Face-Framers
“Face-framing layers” is something our clients request all the time, but a lot of people don’t realize that face-framing highlights can be equally flattering. For autumn, ask for a few pieces of caramel at the front of your hair. (P.S. Blondies can care for their hair with Paul Mitchell’s line of blonde-safe color products.)
4. Ginger
We’re big fans of ginger hair at Debra M Salon and we think that autumn is the perfect time to give your mane this totally warm look. From bright bombshell hues to softer ones that lean toward copper, there are a ton of colors to choose from. Come on in to our Poughkeepsie salon to talk about your perfect red. We’ll also help you pick out the right Paul Mitchell product to care for your freshly-colored hair.
